An awareness meeting was held on the occasion of June 26 — Armed Forces Day — with the support of the Reform Volunteers Organization, which operates under the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC). The guest of the event was Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, Chairman of the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, Candidate of Historical Sciences, and Associate Professor at Baku State University.
Naila Jafarova, Head of the Reform Volunteers Organization, emphasized that June 26 — Armed Forces Day — holds special significance from the perspective of Azerbaijani statehood and national security. She noted that awareness meetings of this kind make an important contribution to strengthening the spirit of patriotism among young people, promoting the values of statehood, and deepening historical knowledge.
In his address, Bakhtiyar Nabiyev spoke in detail about the history of the formation and development of the Azerbaijani Army and the modern army-building process underway in the country. He paid particular tribute to the invaluable services of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the establishment and consolidation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, and underscored that this policy is being successfully continued by President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.
The guest also spoke about the distinguished path of development traversed by the Azerbaijani Army, its rich military traditions, and the pivotal role it plays in safeguarding the country's independence and territorial integrity. He drew attention to the importance of raising young people to be faithful to national and moral values and imbued with a strong spirit of patriotism.
In addition to the Reform Volunteers, representatives of various volunteer organizations active in the country also participated in the event — including Eco Volunteers, Family Volunteers, ASAN Volunteers, and Young Customs Officers.
The meeting continued with interactive discussions, during which Bakhtiyar Nabiyev answered questions from participants.
