A meeting with Bahruz Maharramov, a member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) on February 2nd, in celebration of Youth Day. The event, titled “Azerbaijani Youth: New Directions of Development and Outlook for the Future,” was attended by representatives of the CAERC “Reform Volunteers,” the State Customs Committee’s “Customs Volunteer” organization, and other volunteers.

In his opening speech, Ramil Huseyn, Deputy Executive Director of CAERC, stated that youth is the main driving force of society and the country’s future development depends on their knowledge, skills, and initiative. He noted that the achievements of young people lay the strong foundation for tomorrow, and such events contribute to increasing their self-confidence and creating a healthy competitive environment.

MP Bahruz Maharramov recalled the attention and care shown to youth by the architect of independent Azerbaijan, the great leader Haydar Aliyev, and emphasized that this policy continues to be successfully implemented today. He emphasized that the annual celebration of Youth Day in Azerbaijan highlights the potential, energy, and creative power of young people, emphasizing the importance of their active participation in social, cultural, and political life. Youth Day also serves as a stimulus for focusing on the rights of young people and expanding their opportunities in education, employment, and self-development. Young people, as the innovative force of society, have the potential to respond flexibly to challenges and develop in line with the demands of the modern world. Youth Day shows that their efforts are valued and serves as a source of motivation for future successes.

During the interactive meeting, the views of the volunteers were heard and their questions were answered. The MP urged the youth to move forward with determination toward achieving their goals, to focus on their personal development, and to contribute to the progress of the country.
